<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000">Michael Fong brings a wealth of experience and proven leadership from his tenure as the 2024 President of the AREAA Brooklyn Chapter, where he advanced initiatives centered on homeownership, professional development, and economic empowerment within the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000">Previously, Michael served as Executive Director of Government Navigation within the Business Services Division at the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS). During the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded and led the Asian American Small Business Task Force, addressing urgent challenges around government navigation, compliance, and access to critical resources for immigrant- and minority-owned businesses.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000">Michael’s leadership and impact have been recognized at both the local and national levels. He is a graduate of the Coro Leadership New York program, a former 2025 AREAA National Presidential Appointee, and was nominated and recognized as a 2025 AAPI Trailblazer by City & State New York for his contributions to community advocacy and public service. </font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000">In 2026, he serves as Vice Chair of the AREAA National Policy Committee, a member of the National Association of Realtors® Fair Housing Policy Committee, and Vice Chair of the Long Island Board of Realtors Government Affairs Queens Committee, where he continues to advance fair housing, policy reform, and equitable access to homeownership.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000"><br></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"><font color="#000000">Raised in an immigrant family of entrepreneurs, Michael brings firsthand experience across industries, including government and real estate—grounding his leadership in a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing immigrant entrepreneurs and real estate professionals.</font></p><p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
