Clair moved to the United States from South Korea when she was 14 years old to Torrance, California in 1990. She studied Microbiology at USC but started her career in mortgage finance from 1999. Clair started as a mortgage processor then processed Commercial mortgage financing back in southern California. After she moved to Virginia due to her marriage in 2002, she started as a mortgage underwriting with Property Mortgage (Wells Fargo affiliated retail) from 2003 to 2005 in Conventional and Government residential mortgage products. Clair had joined mortgage broker from 2005 as a mortgage originator and earned her mortgage originator license in 2010 when Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry was first created, and all states required mortgage originator license. Clair also brokered Commercial Real Estate financing, SBA (7)a, SBA (504) for her clients. Clair opened her own mortgage broker firm Lending Nation, Inc located in Fairfax, Virginia from 2013 to 2016 and merged with AmWest Funding formerly known as Bridgeway Financial as a Vice President of DC Metro Branch. Clair is now with Citizens Bank as a Mortgage Loan Officer covering Nationwide residential mortgage services after Bridgeway Financial got sold to AmWest Funding. Clair is serving FCCGW as a Vice Chair, and she is also a Chair for AREAA DC Metro Chapter’s event committee.
