Margaret T. Ling, Esq., is in the role of New York State Agency Underwriting Counsel,
Education Director, and Agency Business Development for the New York State Agency
Division of Amtrust Title Insurance Company.
Margaret has been an Attorney since 1986. From 1986-1995. Margaret was in private
practice focusing on residential and commercial real estate. Since 1995, Margaret has
been a Title Underwriting Counsel at several New York State Underwriters, Agencies, and
Direct Operations. Margaret has experience in title underwriting in both residential and
commercial transactions with additional experience in title claims and litigation.
Margaret is a Certified Continuing Legal Education Presenter and organizes and speaks at
many informative and relevant Amtrust Title Insurance real estate programs and webinars.
In addition, Margaret is a Member of the Amtrust Financial Multicultural Network where she
is responsible for the Asian Segment and is the Amtrust Financial Liaison to the Asian
American Insurance Network.
Margaret is also a Member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the American Land
Title Association,
Margaret is a Board of Director at the New York State Bar Association; New York County
Lawyers Association; New York State Network of Bar Leaders and the Asian Real Estate
Professional Association. Margaret is the Co-Chairperson of the Real Property Committees
at The New York County Lawyer’s Association and The Asian American Bar Association of
New York. Margaret recently was appointed as an Executive Member to the New York State
Bar Real Property Section.
Margaret received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude and Dean’s List from Barnard
College-Columbia University and her Juris Doctor Degree from New York Law School.
